This is a small clip of how I stretch canvas for a new painting. This is not the only way to do it but it’s how I do it so I thought I would share. I’ve bought pre-stretched canvas before but I didn’t like the quality. They would warp and sometimes you could see the stretcher poking through the front of the canvas. I felt like I could make a better product.

So I learned how to make them myself. What I found out is that I like the process. It gives me time to clear my head and reset. Sometimes I think about my next painting and other times I only think about making the perfect canvas.
